Author Guidelines

- Scope and Article Types
GJMSTI welcomes high-quality, original submissions that advance knowledge in science, engineering, health, and technological innovation. Accepted manuscript types include:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Short Communications
- Technical Reports
- Case Studies
- Editorials and Perspectives
- Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted via the GJMSTI Online Submission System or by email to dolodu@biu.edu.ng. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Manuscript Structure
Authors should structure manuscripts as follows:
- Title Page
- Concise and informative article title
- Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations
- Contact details of the corresponding author (email and phone number)
- Abstract
- 200–250 words summarizing the background, objectives, methodology, key findings, and implications
- Include 4–6 keywords below the abstract
- Main Text
- Introduction – Context, problem statement, objectives, and literature review
- Materials and Methods – Experimental design, data sources, and analytical techniques
- Results and Discussion – Present findings with relevant figures/tables and interpretation
- Conclusion – Summarize key outcomes and suggest future directions
- Acknowledgments (if applicable)

- Formatting Guidelines
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Page Numbers: Bottom center
- Figures and Tables: Numbered, titled, and placed near their citation in the text

- Submit high-resolution figures (minimum 300 dpi)
- Ensure tables are editable (not images)
- All figures and tables must be cited within the text
- Referencing Style
GJMSTI follows the APA 7th Edition by default. Examples:
- Journal Article:

IEEE referencing may be used upon editorial approval.
- Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure:
- Manuscript originality and absence of plagiarism (checked using Turnitin)
- Ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects
- Clear declarations of conflicts of interest and funding sources
- Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The review process typically takes 3–6 weeks. Final decisions may be:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
- Article Processing Charges (APCs)
As an open-access journal, GJMSTI charges an APC of USD 30or ₦ 20,000for Nigerian only upon manuscript acceptance to cover review, editing, and publishing. Waivers or discounts may be granted for authors from low-income regions.
- Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright. Upon acceptance, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free distribution and reuse with appropriate credit.
- Manuscript Withdrawal Policy
Manuscripts under review may not be withdrawn without a justified, written request. The Editorial Board reserves the right to approve or decline such requests.
