Corrections and Errata Policy

Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies and Technological Innovations (GJMSTI)

At the Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies and Technological Innovations (GJMSTI), we are dedicated to preserving the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. While we strive for the highest editorial standards, we acknowledge that errors may occasionally occur. This policy outlines our process for managing post-publication corrections transparently and efficiently.

  1. Types of Post-Publication Corrections

We categorize corrections as follows:

  • Erratum (Publisher Error): Issued when mistakes introduced during the production or publication process—such as typographical errors or incorrect author affiliations—are identified.
  • Corrigendum (Author Error): Issued when authors identify significant errors in their published article, such as data misinterpretation or incorrect figures, that affect the article’s clarity or integrity.
  • Retraction: Issued when published findings are invalid due to ethical breaches (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication) or serious methodological flaws. Retractions follow the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • Addendum: Issued to provide additional information that complements the original article without altering its conclusions.
